Look Who's Training!

I began hitting the Computrainer a few days ago.  I started with 5 minutes warm up 15 minutes train and 5 minutes cool down.  I added 5 minutes to the training portion each day.

Today I knocked out 1 hour 45 minutes training time.  Heck Yeah!

I felt ok.  I averaged 200 watts which is much better than last week when I was struggling to hold 150 watts.

I have NO IDEA how to use the Computrainer properly.  I am going to have a nice sit down with the manuals and some CC’s Coffee and do some learn’n!

I plan to hit the road this weekend.  I’m thinking about 40 miles.  We are riding the IM 70.3 New Orleans course, but I am going to cut it short a bit.  It will be the first day back on the road, so I will play it by ear.

Enjoy the shots below.  I was cranking it on the Computrainer.  Photos courtesy of the one and only Amanda!

Until next time . . . BE BRILLIANT!

Keep up the hard work. Nothing like hitting real asphalt or concrete. Good luck.

That rocks! Gear is so fun...looks like you're having a grand time with your bike porn:) I saw your pix with Jillian from the Biggest Loser - totally addicted to that show. I just sit there at weigh in's going - no way, no way, 2 lbs a DAY, holy crap. Damn, Joelle!

Jillian was so awesome. One cool chicka. She spent 15 to 20 minutes hanging out with my family and I at the restaurant where we met her. Good people that Jillian.

Tomorrow I get the real bike porn! I will be posting pics as soon as I can. I get my custom painted rebuilt bike back and I am chomping at the bit to take her for a go!!!!!

BTW Missy, I LOVE your blog, thanks for being so fun and good to life!

Hey:

Let me tell you what a small (blogging)world it can be:

I got my first issue of a magazine that is associated with USTA and they highlighted a tri club: the Baton Rouge Tri club.

I'm flipping throught the pages, my eyes scanned the photo associated with the story for 1 second and POOF! there you were, in your mohawked headed glory!

Small, small world!

Cool story about your tri club too.

Those pics Rock!!

Way to go riding the trainer for that long. That's a lot of discipline (in my eyes). I rode it a few times for an hr, and I could barely stand it.

Got my copy of Triathlon Life today. Nice article. Question? Is the other previous 450 pounder in the picture? I cant figure out who it is....(you either unless you hadn't told us). Here's to being 1/2 the man you used to be !!!
