Bike Porn is Complete!

First the important stuff . . .

Take a look at that hot mamma!!!  “War Pegasus” is ready to roll.

We rode the IM New Orleans 70.3 course this morning.  WOW!  The wind was killer!  I was putting the hammer down and when I HAMMER I can hold 23 to 24 MPH for a long time.  When I “Kill” it I can get up to 31 MPH without any wind on a flat run.

Today I was “hammering” and I was struggling to hold 14 MPH.  Are you kidding me!?  The good news . . . It is an out and back . . . THAT’S RIGHT!!!!  We were smoking it on the way home.

I am feeling a bit better every ride.  My power is coming back but I have a while before the endurance is back to where I want it to be.

I am going to race in a very small Duathlon in Lake Charles this coming weekend, March 1st.  It will be a good test to see if I have my racing feet under me . . . less than 40 days until IM NOLA!

Two things I’ve had trouble with on the new wheels:

1.     Getting the tufo sealant into the 1080 – I figured it our.  You have to put the sealant in before your tape it to the wheel.

2.     The brakes don’t work properly for the tubular wheels.  I may be learning something new.  Do you use different brake pads or something with tubular????

Have a great week.  It looks like the season is about to begin . . .

SH*T IronMissy on the drafting at races. I know who I am following this November in Panama City... I will just put a little mirror on my bike to watch out for the marshalls..

NICE!!! That's an awesome set-up!! I'll be posting pics of my new bike in an hour or 2, but it's nothing compared to that!!!

Enjoy!!

WOW! Talk about a way to wipe out the competition - other riders will get so distracted staring at your gorgeous ride that they lose concentration and you DROP their buts! And I was just coming over here to ask when we'd get to see photos of her... Enjoy the ride!!

Nice bike!

I can't comprehend going over 20 mph....

You'd think I could do it: I have big legs (fat and muscle) but I just can't.

You'd also think that I could swim fast (bouyant and all), but I can't.

Sometimes its a little depressing. Then I just tell myself: "it's all about the participation".

HA!

That is a sweet looking bike, I am jealous. And now nervous for the New Orleans course! Way to hammer it!

With Zipp wheels you should be able to use the same brake pads you use for standard alloy rims; however, if you are still having problems then buy some special carbon brake pads. I do have to change my brake pads for my Corima Aero wheels.

does anyone think porn is the only business still thriving during the credit cruch? I think many folks seek refuge in buying and wanking porn during the crunch
